Location: Hereford

Remuneration: £40,000 - £45,000 + discretionary bonus & comprehensive benefits package

The role of the Assistant Manager - Timber Products will involve:

• Assistant Manager role promoting a range of hardwood and softwood timber products including: flooring, decking, skirting, cladding and beams
• Oversee the daily operations of the branch and its future development
• Working with the manager to assist with the completion all relevant documentation
• Responsible for 8 members of staff, including H&S, staff reports and training
• Prepare quarterly reports for directors on performance
• Travel may be required when visiting prospective buyers or suppliers

The ideal applicant will be an Assistant Manager - Timber Products with:

• Must have a strong commercial awareness of the timber/construction industry
• Must have management experience within the construction industry
• Ideally experience within timber or a related field such as joinery or timber manufacturing
• Excellent communication skills across all levels both written and verbal
• Highly organised individual
• Strong leadership and management skills
• IT literate
• A valid UK driving license
