Assistant Manager/Tax Senior job based in Leeds

Are you a qualified Assistant Tax Manager/Tax Senior with a minimum of 3 years’ experience of working in a public practice firm looking for more varied client exposure and the opportunity to grow? 

Public Practice Recruitment Ltd are looking for a ATT/CTA Qualified/Part Qualified Tax Accountant with 3 years’ experience of working within a busy public practice firm within a tax compliance role.

An established and successful accountancy firm in Leeds, our client provides accountancy, audit and taxation services to both individuals and companies. This dynamic Leeds accountancy firm takes pride in providing a consistent and proactive service. They offer a wide range of end-to-end services to meet every businesses’ needs.

The main responsibilities for the Assistant Tax Manager/Tax Senior job in Leeds include:

  • Preparing tax returns and compliance work
  • Preparation of annual tax returns and supporting financial statements
  • Assisting on tax advisory work
  • Assisting in preparing tax returns, tax computations and tax reserves
  • Dealing with accounts and tax returns
  • Developing excellent client relationships
  • Liaising with HMRC

The ideal candidate will be hard-working with the ability to manage and organise their workload. You will have excellent communication skills with a good understanding of IT.

The right candidate will be CTA/ATT Qualified/Part Qualified and have practical knowledge of tax compliance with a minimum of 3 years’ experience of working in practice. Previous experience of working in a similar role is required.

You will have experience and understanding in financial accounting processes within the tax and compliance department, proven leadership skills, coaching and people development and highly organised with a pro-active approach to your work.
