INrecruitment are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager/Manager (Accounts) for our client, a leading accountancy firm providing bespoke accountancy services across the Midlands, who pride themselves in their informal, people-focussed, approach to the workplace.

The successful Assistant Manager/Manager will support our client in their partnership approach to working with SMEs.

The role.

The production of draft management accounts and income tax/corporation tax computations are integral to the role, as is the reviewing of files before final accounts are reviewed by a Partner.

Although office-based, with minimal audit work, the successful candidate will have considerable exposure to clients, providing accountancy and business advice.

A requirement to manage, support and review work of team members is also an essential part of this role.

The person.

The successful candidate must be ACA or ACCA qualified, or equivalent, ideally with a minimum of 2 years post-qualified public practice.

You should be experienced at a Senior level, and with accounts preparation and production experience. A good knowledge of corporate and personal tax is essential, and experience of Corporate Audit would be advantageous.

Reporting to the Director, and with exposure to the Partners, this role offers great scope for promotion.
