Posted 3 January by Ashdown Appointments Ended

This busy, independent country pub has an excellent reputation for their fresh food, and as a result can be extremely busy. It is both a destination restaurant and a strong local village pub who offer great food, wine and hospitality to a wide variety of clientele.

The General Manager is looking for an Assistant Manager to join his team of 20 full and part time staff. This will be a supporting role to the GM; you will be expected to deputise in his absence in all aspects of the day to day activity of the pub. The right candidate will be customer focussed, personable, responsible, naturally hospitable and have a passion for giving exceptional guest satisfaction. They will have at least one year's supervisory experience in a pub or restaurant environment and be looking to advance their skills to further a career within the hospitality industry.

There will be good training and the opportunity for career progression in the future. There is always room for a candidate who demonstrates ability, with a desire to do well, to become involved and contribute ideas to aid the continuing success of this popular British pub.

This is in a rural location so your own transport is required.
