As Assistant Management Accountant, you will be required to support the management accounts team in delivering an effective service to defined customer satisfaction measures, performance metrics, service standards, timescales and budgets which support the maintenance of strong financial process, governance and control.
The role will contribute to the provision of accurate management accounts for timely submission to budget holders and for finance consolidation, perform key control reconciliations, financial data input and support colleagues during the forecast and budgeting process.
In order to be considered for this opportunity, your CV must demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and experience
Part qualified Accountant or looking to qualify e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA or with relevant previous experience
An understanding of basic accounting standards with an ability to support the production of management accounts, financial budgets and reforecasts together with variance commentary
Ability to provide accurate financial data to support the preparation of management accounts, financial budgets and reforecasts within a large Organisation e.g. data input, depreciation charges, journal uploads and key account control reconciliations
A team player with an ability to work between several business departments, prioritise workload and work under pressure to meet deadlines
Good interpersonal skills, with confidence to constructively challenge colleagues on their financial performance
An experienced user of integrated financial systems and well developed skills using standard MS Office applications particularly Excel and Word
Good communication skills with the ability to draft clear and concise reports, summarising issues with clear conclusions
