OUR Role:

As AssociateLecturer, you will be enjoying the responsibility for the progress and academic achievement of degree apprentices undertaking study and training in Software & Web Development up to a Higher Education degree level.
The role will involve assistance with a blend of academic planning, development of video resources, teaching, practical exercises, supporting self-study activities and assessment. The programme involves a wide range of technical skills across Software & Web Development.
It is not expected that the Assistant Lecturer can contribute to every module in the programme, but will be expected to have a good breadth of skills and knowledge. The role will require close working with Senior Lecturers, the Associate Dean (Computing), and Business Development Director
Having a passion for teaching, imparting knowledge and skills, keeping up to date in an ever changing technology based world, sharing your expertise with our learners is a must for our role.

YOUR experience:

Experience teaching and curriculum management in more than one topic within the Software & Web Development subject areas
Recognised IT qualifications covering skill sets relevant to Networking and Cyber Security, or IT Infrastructure and Cyber Security, preferably along with Higher Education qualifications at postgraduate level
A recognised teaching qualification, or a commitment to achieving at least a Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector
Excellent, detailed knowledge of more than one topic within the Software & Web Development subject areas
Required - Demonstrable technical skills in more than one topic within the Software & Web Development subject areas
Excellent communication skills
A logical thinker and a passion to achieve
Ability to deliver practical and engaging teaching and learning session
Ability to identify and help apprentices to overcome potential barriers to learning, progress and achievement.
