Assistant / Junior Project Manager (Construction)
Our client are a large local government organisation and are looking for an experienced Assistant / Junior Project Manager to join their team. This is initially a 3 month contract which may be extended for the right candidate. Our client is looking for someone who can come on board and support senior Project Managers in the successful procurement and delivery of multiple new build projects. You will be mainly involved in the commissioning of and management on building and environmental projects.
The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day cost and programme management of multiple building from conception to handover. You will keep accurate project records for audit and evidencing purposes as well as be able to support the client on the implementation of an effective communication strategy between the client, stakeholders, public and end users. You will also assist in the process of reporting progress, exception reporting and budget performance to the relevant boards.
The successful applicant will have experience of working in construction projects ideally within a public sector environment and knowledge and understanding of programme, risk and cost management.
