Role: Assistant / Intermediate Quantity Surveyor
Location: Henley on Thames

Our client is a unique multi-disciplinary private company, which designs and builds the ultimate residential developments in the most prime and exclusive UK locations.
They are currently recruiting for an Assistant / Intermediate Quantity Surveyor from a developer, main-contractor or contractor background to join their team. Final phase of a very large countryside
estate is due to start Spring 2018 and the addition of an assistant quantity surveyor is needed to join the commercial team.

Reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
Prepare and dispatch tender packages to suppliers / subcontractors.
Maintain and up-date procurement files in an orderly fashion.
Collate tender returns and undertake full tender evaluation/analysis.
In conjunction with the Senior Quantity Surveyor, check and approve subcontractor claims for payment.
Liaise with subcontractors to resolve queries.
Monitor and control the performance of Sub-contractors and Suppliers in relation to the delivery of contracts.
Assist with contract valuations.
Assist with monthly cost/value reconciliations.
Speedily assess, and cost variations to the main contract.
Prepare purchase requisitions, approve and issue purchase orders.
The project is a 3-4 year build Countryside mansion estate:
VIP Tunnel linking 80 thousand sq/foot Mansion, Helicopter Hanger & Estate Management Building
New Tunnel (under A321) incorporating North and South Portal Buildings and leading to Boathouse etc....
To be successful the applicant will possess the following skills and attributes:
BSc in Quantity Surveying, or in the process of obtaining this. (or similar qualification).
Have a minimum 2 years demonstrated commercial experience.
A good working knowledge of MS Excel and the ability to learn how to use specialist software.
Have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, a methodical approach to work and the ability to negotiate.
Full driving License.
