Assistant Head of Paddlesports - Richmond

This is an annualised hours contract for 1404.20 hours per annum over 38 weeks per year commencing March / April 2018. Hours will be worked through the months of March - November.  Pay will be spread over the twelve month period.

£18,313 for 1404.20 hours per annum (inclusive of 14% holiday entitlement), equating to £1500 approximately per month before deductions.

The contract is fixed term for 24 months.

About the Role

We are looking for a lead worker who holds a British Canoeing UKCC L2 Paddlesport minimum to supervise the day to day logistics of the centre and its resources. You will be a highly experienced outdoor professional with experience of managing small teams of staff and liaising with clients. You will be a skilled facilitator delivering outcome based led programmes, able to adapt your style of work with a variety of different clients from primary school pupils through to youth groups and graduate students. You will be able to link the school curriculum to learning outcomes and how outdoor learning can benefit all aspects of education and personal development.

We are looking for an individual who holds at least 3 of the following National Governing Body awards to include a BC UKCC Level 2 Paddlesports, plus any of the following qualifications:

  • RYA Dinghy Instructor
  • RYA Powerboat Level 2
  • RYA Powerboat Instructor
  • Archery GB Instructor Award
  • A walking qualification such as Sports Leader Lowland Expedition Leader/MT Lowland Leader/MT Mountain Leader
  • BSUPA Qualification
  • D1/PCV minibus licence
  • Forest School Leader
