Assistant General Manager role, Orpington, up to £30,000 per annum, working for Bromley Tennis Centre

Bromley Tennis Centre are looking for an enthusiastic and hard working person with leadership skills to join their progressive team and help take their tennis centre programme and business to a new level.

Your new company

Bromley Tennis centre is a world class tennis facility with 10 indoor courts and fitness facilities. It has a coaching and activity programme for all ages and abilities, currently recognised to be one of the best in the country. What makes Bromley Tennis Centre so special? …. A rapidly growing inclusive coaching programme now with 1400 players each week, 15 national players, the British Tennis Regional Award for Disability Programme, a Strength and Conditioning programme for local players of a variety of sports, links with 12 primary schools, Tennis Leadership training and mentoring for young people.

Your new role
As Assistant Manager you will work with the Manager to create and implement the business plan and oversee the operation of the centre. You will be involved in the management and marketing of a wide ranging coaching and activity programme and be directly responsible for compliance in Health & Safety and Safeguarding.

What you'll need to succeed
It is important that you have a strong interest in tennis or sport and helpful but not essential to have some experience of a tennis or sports environment. You would be joining a passionate team who are innovative, progressive and driven to provide the best possible tennis programme, which includes coaching for all ages, a disability programme, coach education, and competitions. You will need to be self-motivated, with a flexible approach to the working week and have plenty of drive and determination to succeed as there will be a lot to learn and a lot to do.

What you'll get in return
You will receive an annual salary of up to £30,000 per annum depending on experience. You will be entitled to 30 days annual leave as well as company pension, gym membership, tennis court usage when available and discounted catering rates. Bromley Tennis Centre is operated by Virtus Leisure and for the right person there may be future opportunities for a wider role across 3-4 sites now operated by Virtus Leisure.
