My client, a UK based Engineering Consultancy which specialises in Hydrology and Infrastructure Engineering, is searching for an Assistant Flood Risk Consultant to join a fast based office based in Reading to complete varied Flood Risk, Hydrology and Drainage Projects.
This exciting opportunity will offer you the chance to be trained by a friendly team of Engineers to complete varied Flood Risk, Surface Water and Drainage Projects for Local Authorities and Private Sector Clients.
This exciting opportunity will offer you the chance to complete Flood Risk Assessments for flood zones 1,2 and 3, Surface Water Management Plans, Flood Estimation using FEH and Drainage Strategy.
You will also have the opportunity to complete Drainage Design using Microdrainage and Tuflow Modelling. Full training will be provided by the team.
This exciting role offers a competitive salary, specialist training, substantial benefits package and support to achieve Chartered Status through CIWEM or ICE.
Candidates are required to have a HNC and/or BSc, MSc and/or PhD in a relevant subject (e.g. Hydrology, Environmental Management or Civil Engineering) and have experience working for a UK based Consultancy or Local Authority completing Flood Risk Assessments.
Candidates are required to have a keen interest in flood risk and drainage and have the confidence to liaise with clients to discuss project development and issues.
It is also beneficial for you to have a valid UK licence to visit flood risk sites and utilise company vehicles.
