Position: Assistant Finance Manager
Salary: £22,000-£26,000 plus DHL Benefits
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

For the role of Assistant Finance Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that you produce some of contracts weekly quicks, customer reporting and assist in completion of month end trading. Assist the finance team in providing accurate management information and data/trend analysis for the operation.
Key Responsibilities in this role will include;
Responsible for the preparation and interrogation of weekly quick's ensuring accurate profit and loss accounts
Responsible for the reconciliation of general ledger to weekly quick's and deal with any issues in a timely manner, to ensure month end processes including calculation and posting of accrual/adjustment journal are completed accurately within the tight deadlines
Provide support to FM and operations with financial collation and analysis whilst continually challenge site/account performance and identify areas of opportunity and risk
Assisting in the management of the finance function ensuring all audit, legal requirements and DHL compliance are maintained.
Ensuring revenue is invoiced accurately and debt collected in a timely fashion and assist finance team in adhoc duties and requests including Balance sheet.
Deliver high quality, customer focussed service
Engage & build trusted relationships with internal customers / colleagues
Provide information and reports to the customer as required
Adhoc financial analysis as required by the customer or management team
To actively work alongside direct and in direct internal and external stakeholders
Build and maintain relationships with all key stakeholders
Mitigate any financial exposures to DHL
Ensures compliance to all site processes and procedures
Actively champion a culture of continuous improvement
Key skills and experience in this role will include:
Experience of analysis and wide exposure to different areas of finance including purchase ledger, credit control, payroll and reporting
Understanding of relationship of cost drivers and absolute costs
Integrity and Confidentiality
Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
Detail oriented, accurate and thorough
Excellent communication skills
Able to demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills
Able to deal with competing demands in a busy environment by being adaptable, flexible and positive in approach
Ability to work effectively in a busy environment, ability to work under pressure
Work on own initiative/ able to prioritise workload
Excellent Microsoft Excel Skills
Previous experience of financial systems. ie Oracle
