Temporary Assistant Finance Business Partner
Venn Group is supporting a Local Authority in Hertfordshire with their recruitment of a temporary Assistant Finance Business Partner on a six-month contract to start as soon as possible.
Your duties will include:
Supporting the Finance Business Partner, providing financial advice and guidance regarding budget monitoring/setting within a Local Authority
Providing unit cost modelling and budgetary advice for a number of areas with monthly monitoring reports and costing analysis
Delivering professional and expert accounting and technical service for the revenue, holding and control accounts relating to the Business Unit
Identifying unit costs and monitoring the bottom line for commercial areas of the business, suggesting appropriate course of action to mitigate any losses
Responsible for monitoring budgets and providing budget reports on a monthly basis
The successful candidate must have:
Previous working experience for a Local Authority/Council
Worked as a Management Accountant, Assistant Finance Business Partner or similar
Knowledge of Housing Revenue Accounts (HRA)
