Assistant Facilities Manager - Hard Services FM focussed

Assistant Facilities Manager with a hard services bias is needed for a great role working on a prestigious, multi-tenanted commercial building in South West London. Assistant Facilities Manger you will be responsible for the permit-to-work system and online H&S platform, ensure tenant compliance with statutory H&S requirements, utilities management, monitoring trends and collation of tenant meter reads, records and reports relating to the planned and reactive maintenance of the landlord's areas are maintained, up-to-date and analysed to identify opportunities for service improvements.

Assistant Facilities Manager - Hard Services

  • Inspecting building, services and equipment.
  • Liaise with contractors to ensure safe working practices are adhered to. Provide assistance for the satisfactory completion of all on-site work permits.
  • Contribute to the success of major PPM project delivery.
  • Inspection of tenant demises ensure compliance with statutory and insurer requirements.
  • Ensure budgets and sustainability targets are achieved by overseeing utility contracts and consumption.
  • Collate and monitor all tenant meter readings.
  • Assist the Operations Manager to maintain ISO14001 accreditation.
  • Form part of the 'Duty Management' team at the site.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with employee, tenants, contractors, key contacts in the local community and key emergency services.
  • Manage and operate the site in compliance with all Health & Safety and Environment legislation and regulations.

Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications required for the position

  • Experience of health and safety arrangements.
  • Knowledge of statutory regulations including fire safety, water hygiene, DDA, asbestos monitoring and environmental & energy efficiency.
  • Eye for detail in assessing exceptional service standards.
  • Experience of site regulations and issuing permits to work for all relevant contractor activities.
  • Relevant safety training, and a detailed knowledge of health and safety legislation with practical experience in the implementation of procedures.
