Assistant Environmental Manager

The Role
Willmott Dixon Construction is looking to recruit an Assistant Environmental Manager to be based from their Farnborough office. This is an exciting time to join a Times Top 100 Company to work for (14th place) which is continuing to grow. The Assistant Environmental Manager will be required to:

* Support the Environmental Manager to ensure that the Environmental Management System is implemented, controlled and maintained.

* Assist in the production of environmental plans for all projects and collection of eKPIs.

* Help develop and ensure compliance with environmental best practice documents and statutory legislation.

* Ensure full understanding of current and future environmental legislation by staff.

* Provide environmental input into PQQs and bids.

Essential and Desirable Criteria
You will ideally have experience of:

* Managing environmental procedures.

* Dealing effectively with environmental issues.

* Using Microsoft suite of Office programmes; inc. Excel, Word, Outlook and Project.

Proven experience of:

* Working as part of project teams.

* Reading and interpreting sustainability documents and periodicals and understanding and advising on the impact of such information on a construction business.

* Working with other staff, allowing them to understand the issues surrounding the environment. Qualifications and Membership Academic:

Essential

* Minimum relevant level 4 qualification (HNC / NVQ4 etc).

Desirable

* Environmental related degree.

Professional Essential

* Appropriate CSCS card.

* Working towards professional membership of an environmental institution. Desirable

* Valid driving licence.
