Your new role
We are looking to appoint an Assistant Director of Finance for our client based on the outskirts of Manchester city centre who is a national government body. The purpose of this role will be to provide leadership of the finance function of the business and assist with managing procurement and payroll departments.
This role will be a leadership role that will manage and support the effective and efficient decision making across the organisation. You will also be responsible for producing high quality interim and annual resource accounts and timely, high quality financial management information to all stakeholders. The role will also be heavily involved in continuous improvement. This is a business critical role that holds operational responsibility and delegated authority to make business critical finance and procurement delivery decisions within governance frameworks and appropriate risk controls.
What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for candidates who have strong experience within central government or NHS. Qualified CCAB ideal or equivalent. Strong knowledge of financial management within public sector including management accountant and financial accounting.
