Dacorum Borough Council is committed to working in partnership to create a Borough which enables the communities of Dacorum to thrive and prosper.
Since 2010, they have achieved funding reductions of over 70%, representing £7m of savings while continuing to increase performance and satisfaction across key services. Our comprehensive regeneration programme included developments to the Old Town High Street, Town Centre, and Water Gardens. The centrepiece of this ambitious programme is "The Forum" - Hemel Hempstead's new council, library and voluntary services hub. It’s not only an inspiring place for welcoming the public and enabling residents to access services more easily under one roof, it’s an open plan, energy-efficient and exciting place to work.
With an ambitious and varied development programme, 131 new social homes have been delivered, with a further 400 in the pipeline, whilst continuing to invest in improvements to their existing properties. They are in a hugely enviable location being located just outside the M25 and only a 25 minute train journey from Central London.
