Assistant Digital Marketing Manager

My client is looking for an experienced Assistant Marketing Manager to join the team, working alongside the Group Digital Marketing Manager to help execute and develop the subscriptions sales and marketing strategy.

The role will involve:

- Helping with devising strategies to drive online traffic to subscriptions e-commerce website

- Tracking conversion rates and making improvement to marketing initiatives

- Utilizing a range of agreed technique (Affiliates and Social Media particularly)

- Working with the Digital Marketing Executive to help with the social media strategy for subscriptions

- Managing and developing social media and Affiliate channels

- Agency management where appropriate

- Forming strong team relations, acting as a consultant and the go to on all things digital

- Providing well thought out solutions to business needs

- Experience of Multi-channel strategies (web based, social, mobile, content)

- Keeping up to date with industry trends

- Educating internal team on how to maximise digital opportunities

- To monitor the success of all digital subscription acquisition marketing activities through appropriate measurement and evaluation and review with Head of Subscriptions making recommendations for improvement

Skills and Experience:

The relevant candidate should have the ability to plan, implement, manage and report on online marketing campaigns across a range of PPC, Affiliates and Social Media, have web analytics exposure and a strong commercial awareness.

- 2+ years marketing or digital experience (agency or client-side)

- A natural flare with writing and communicating (fluency in English is essential)

- A clear and demonstrable understanding of digital marketing strategies and tactics, including Google Adwords and Google Webmaster tools

- Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends)

- Knowledge of Google Analytics, HootSuite and other search and social media monitoring tools

- Digital marketing experience: examples of marketing work undertaken in e-commerce site(s) that has seen a clear and marked uplift in sales

- Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate

- Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels

- Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments

- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints

- Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement

- Demonstrate experience where you have successfully guided projects in the above areas (Role Responsibilities)

- Naturally intuitive, a creative problem solver, questions the norm

- Confident in data analysis and the associated tools to manipulate and present to stakeholders

- Good communication skills

- Knowledgeable on all things digital and passion for digital solutions

- Ability to develop insights

- Ability to foster and maintain stakeholder relationships across all levels

- Positive, energetic, can-do attitude. Problem solver

- Able to work effectively to tight deadlines and stay calm under pressure

- Attention to detail is vital

- Exceptionally organised

- Works well on own initiative but also a strong team player

- Graduate with 2:1 and good A Levels, ideally English, Maths, Science
