Assistant Database Manager
We are seeking an interim person to work 2.5 days per week on a contract basis. The contract will commence at the beginning of April and run through to the end of August 2018. The post holder will report to our Database Manager and provide backfill capacity to enable the Database Manager to engage with our CRM development project. Salary £30,000 per annum pro rata.

The post holder must have:
a working knowledge of SQL and the ability to write queries using SQL 2008 R2 and setting up reports in Report Builder 3.0
at least twelve months work experience in a membership body or professional institution
experience of maintaining a CRM database
knowledge of IT/AV technical support experience (Basic level)
a Degree or HND
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
Good understanding of data protection
The post holder will be required:
To maintain and develop the membership database
To provide reports from the database for staff and management
To process subscription payments (including through Direct Debit and BACS systems)
To monitor and maintain the quality and integrity of the Institution's data
To liaise with the external database provider regarding day to day matters relating to the operation of the database and keep a written record of the outcome
To advise and support staff in the effective collection and use of data, and the use of the database
To manage user profiles, system access and security
To actively contribute to the project to upgrade/replace the Institution’s current membership/CRM system (Protech - Pro 8)
To provide as required basic IT support to supplement the service provided by the IT outsourced service (e.g. AV advice, telephones)
and also be able to show evidence of:
Experience of working in a database implementation project
Ability to cope with pressure and meet deadlines
Ability to work well with others in a team.
Good numeracy skills
Good oral and written English and ability to compose own correspondence
Good data analysis skills
- Must have working knowlege of SQL
- Experience of working in membership
- Experience of maintaining a CRM database
