Description

Assistant Commercial Accountant/ Financial Analyst duties and responsibilities include the following however training will be provided so base experience and high aptitude for learning is key

  • Work closely with Finance Business Partnering team to aid in financial performance improvement on projects
  • Assist in providing detailed financial analysis
  • Variance analysis including costs vs income
  • Assist in the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes
  • Preparation of monthly and weekly reports, including data to support revenue, cost and sales pipeline analysis
  • Support the Commercial Finance Manager with any adhoc finance requests
  • Building an effective link between Finance and the rest of the organisation, adding value to decision-making and developing the best possible, joined-up, financial management;
  • Providing clear communication and in-depth support by building and maintaining excellent relationships with the business; ensuring budget holders are supported on all financial issues;
  • Being responsible for the continuous improvement of reporting, analysis and insight to enhance the quality and timeliness of financial information.

Profile

This Assistant Commercial Accountant/ Financial Analyst position is a development opportunity and anyone with project accounting, financial analysis experience would be great however someone who can demonstrate the potential in these areas and a strong record of learning/development whether through career progression achieved to date or academic/accountancy qualification progression would be looked upon in a positive similar light

  • Strong Excel skills including pivot tables and vlookups is essential
  • Studying towards an accountancy qualification is ideal with all levels of studies considered including AAT, ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey financial messages to non-finance colleagues
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and hit tight deadlines
  • Ability to collaborate with others across segments and regions
  • Attention to accuracy and detail
  • Work with integrity, due skill, care and diligence
