PURPOSE OF ROLE
The purpose of this role is to assist in the delivery of sales presentations, for Retail, National & Key Accounts / Field Sales / through customer presentations, demonstrations, new product development & commercial planning. To actively learn about and develop product knowledge in line with our core customer channels and sectors. In addition you will need to develop working relationships with key colleagues across the Delice de France business this will also allow you to collect and feedback new product suggestions and development ideas to the NPD team.
REPORTING AND KEY RELATIONSHIPS
Report to the Head of Product. Liase & work closely with the Product Development & Chef Teams, National & Key Account Managers & Field Sales Teams. Suppliers / Buyers / Exec Chef’s in significant National / Regional / Local accounts.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To help & support in the development & execution of annual account plans. Develop and execute Account Plans
for each Customer in line with business plans to deliver Sales Value Target & Margin forecasts and budget within
Support regional sales team to improve their product knowledge enabling them to talk confidently about the range
of products we sell.
To gather feedback from key customers and your colleagues on potential new product development and to
feedback feasible ideas to the Product Team.
To act as main point of contact for the Academy working closely with the NPD / Chef Team / Marketing / Design
Manage and develop nominated accounts.
Work with the National & Key Account teams & the Field teams to deliver tactical activity.
On a quarterly basis present the Business Plan to the Senior Management team to share results from previous
plan and targets for the next quarter
Use the ledger, issued monthly, which details sales results by customer for the territory, analysing the report to
establish current trading situation and to target key customers to visit in the next month - in line with the Sales
Weekly planner via Outlook, must be submitted to the NFSC each week
Prompt response to all customer enquiries to make sure all issues are addressed and resolved as quickly as
Continual improvement of product knowledge to share with customers and improve growth of sales
Train and present "Bake Off" and presentation of products in customer locations when required
The individual will have responsibility for managing a min of £1m to circa £3m sales value across a range of
customers and the appropriate margin target assigned to those customers.
Decision Making Level/Complexity?
The individual will be required to help put financial proposals together to win, retain and/or re-negotiate
existing/new customers. The proposals will require sign off from the Senior Management Team.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING
Qualified as a chef with a passion for food Experience of Key Account Management (ideally in a food related business) Sales experience
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence at all levels Presentation skills Clear confident communication skills both verbal and written Good numerical skills to A level standard General interest in people Demonstrable drive and enthusiasm
