We currently have an excellent opportunity for a creative and effective Assistant Chef to support the Chef Manager at this Independent School, You will form part of a small and hard working team that delivers a daily lunch service and occasional hospitality.
The hours of work for this position are 8.30am-2.30pm, Monday to Friday, term time only.
Your duties will include:
- Cooking main lunch dishes with fresh ingredients daily
- Preparing the salad bar and desserts with the Chef Manager
- Baking fresh bread daily
- Hospitality when required
- Good understanding of allergy awareness
- Taking deliveries and ordering stock
- Taking daily temperature records
- Assisting the Chef Manager with bookwork
As part of the selection process for this role you may be asked to undertake a trade test should your application progress further. Instructions on what this will entail will be given at this stage.
