Assistant Category Co-ordinator
Up to £35,000 (dependant on experience) + bonus + benefits
This organisation is one of the UK’s largest and fastest growing fresh produce providers into the UK retail and B2B markets. Based Hertfordshire, this £250m business operates across 2 floors and are considered by their peers as one of the most influential and deeply regarded suppliers into their respective categories.
My client works with a large grower network, and hand select the best varieties across their chosen categories, ensuring a high quality product that is offered all year round. This business maintains that development of variety is at the heart of everything they do, and they are committed to delivering a consistent supply of the best fresh produce, all year round.
As Assistant Category Co-ordinator you will be tasked to assist in the coordination of a selected category into one of the organisations key retail customers. In addition to this, you will ensure the smooth day to day running of internal administrative operations.
The main responsibilities of this role include:
- Data maintenance and analysis from one off requests to seasonal and strategic reviews (internal & external)
- Creation of business presentations
- Assisting in pricing parameters, structures and forecasting
- Monitoring customer sales data and reporting on your findings
- Liaising daily with suppliers and the customer to ensure all plans are plausible
- Reviewing key sales and waste saving opportunities by looking at store ranging detail
To be considered for this exciting opportunity you must have a minimum of 12 months experience working within a category, commercial, buying or supply chain function within an FMCG environment, and be able to demonstrate a solid understanding managing and reporting on consumer data both internally and externally.
It is essential you are numerate, and comfortable dealing with multiple sources of data. Above all you must be a strong communicator who is keen to make a difference and support this organisations continued business growth.
