The purpose of this role is to deliver high quality support to the Senior Business Analyst covering the area of the business that focuses on the firms central support functions such as Infrastructure, Finance, IS, Marketing and People and Client Experience. Also providing insightful analysis to Operational management and the many Central Client Services stakeholders using the ability to interpret periodic accounts and other financial performance indicators. Helping the team to prepare annual budgets and rolling forecasts, and to liaise with the Centralised Finance Function to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the accounting records.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Preparation of periodic financial and management information with commentary at a departmental level

  • Proactive interpretation of key performance indicators including those relating to the management of costs

  • Coordination of and responsibility for validating bad debt provisioning

  • Deal with property cost queries using accounting techniques such as dilapidations, onerous rent & rent free periods

  • Deal with the management of Fixed Asset additions for all locations in the firm

  • Responsibility for the review and analysis of monthly, quarterly and annual accounts in liaison with staff in the Centralised Finance Function and in accordance with the firm's accounting policies

  • Assistance with the preparation and submission of annual budgets and periodic forecasts

  • Maintaining strong and effective working relationships with staff in Centralised Finance Function and other Business Analysts, in order to aid feedback and resolution of accounting issues and to assist Centralised Finance Function staff in the submission of statutory returns eg -year-end supplementary packs

  • Build good relationships with the firm’s 3rd party property management agent to deal with Infrastructure queries
