Assistant Book Keeper

A great opportunity has opened up for an Assistant Book Keeper position in a small family run business in Watford.

Job Description

Sales Invoice run

  • Print off all invoices in multi-currency
  • Check the invoices
  • Separate Factored and Non-factored invoices
  • Scan and email invoices to each Customer
  • Send the factored invoices file to Invoice Finance
  • Input sales invoices on Sage

Purchase Invoices

  • Input purchase invoices on Sage
  • Check delivery notes to corresponding purchase invoices
  • Update Excel spreadsheet with all outstanding invoices
  • File the purchase invoices

Credit Control for all Foreign Customers

  • Email statements in foreign currency
  • Chase up payments
  • Deal with customer queries

Ad hoc duties

  • Answering phone calls
  • Filing

Desired Skills

  • Previous experience in Sage Accounting or other Accounting system
  • Experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.)

  • Good computer skills
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Attention to detail
  • Good team player

Candidates Must Be

  • Organized
  • Diligent and responsible
  • Computer Literate and analytical
  • Willing to help out with other tasks and duties if required

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £17,500.00 /year
