Accounts Assistant

Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a well-established, choice employer in the Nottinghamshire region as they look to bring on board an experienced Accounts Assistant initially on a 6-9 month contract.

Reporting to the Accounting Supervisor, you’ll focus on IFRS 16 accounting standards across all subsidiaries.

Duties & Responsibilities of the Assistant Accountant:

• Ensure completion of month-end processes within deadline
• Calculation and entry of journal for accruals and prepayments across property costs
• To identify potential error’s and create monthly reports
• Explain variance to budgets – service charge – how much is spent and what they thought would be
• Ad-hoc project analysis and reporting
• Support the property department
• To work with external consultants on implementation of systems and improvements
• Year end audit submissions

What we’re looking for:

• At least 6-12 months experience in a Transactional Finance
• Hardworking, determined, and keen to learn
• Intermediate Excel skills with confidence in formulas
