Morgan McKinley is looking for an Assistant Accountant - Finance Assistant to work for a company based in Guildford, Surrey. The Assistant Accountant will work closely with the Management Accountant, being part of their growing finance team, supporting with month end, everyday accounting and financial reporting.

Salary: up to £32,500 per annum

Location: Hybrid 2-3 days office based, Guildford - Surrey
** Due to location, own transport required. Parking onsite

Hours: 8am-5.30pm Mon - Fri (flexible)

Assistant Accountant duties:

  • Assist in the preparation of financial analysis, statements and reports
  • Support with month end
  • Preparing journal entries and reconciliations
  • Manage the invoicing and payment processing
  • Assist with the budget and forecast process
  • Maintain the accounts, monitor transactions and update financial systems

Skills and experience:

  • Experience of working in a similar accounting - finance assistant / accounts assistant / assistant accountant type role
  • Good IT skills and experience of using Sage
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
