Assistant Accountant

My growing client requires an Assistant Accountant to join their welcoming finance team in Cheadle. My client are market leaders in their sector and are constantly looking for new, innovative ways to improve their offering. This is a key appointment for my clients finance department and also the overall smooth running of other departments across the business. This position has become available due to internal promotion. A key belief of my client is identifying talent and progression and development of all employees is paramount to the organisation, your duties will include:

- Assist in the production of monthly management reporting packs.
- To compile documentation on the Budgeting/Forecasting process and support budget holders for applicable departments
- Coach and support non-financial people in their understanding of financial awareness and analysis.
- Ensure month-end duties are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Contributes to the finance department operational plan and finance strategy.
- Maintain and manage working relationships with suppliers and service providers to ensure the successful delivery of budgets across departments
- Help the FP&A manager develop and update overall project designs and processes on a regular basis alongside department colleagues
- Monitor and report on department budgets and support budget holders in all processes.
- Undertake all necessary duties and activities to deliver the role's responsibilities.
- Deal with queries and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders when needed.

You will ideally be ACCA/CIMA part-qualified, have a professional outlook to all tasks undertaken and will be an excellent communicator, both written and verbally.
