Our client is a world leader in the design and manufacture of satellite systems. Their activities cover complete civil and military telecommunications and Earth observation systems, science and navigation programmes, together with avionics and a wide range of space equipment and associated ground infrastructure.
They are recruiting for a Part Qualified Management Accountant to work as part of the Finance Department based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire.
This is a Contract position for 6 months and will be based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire. The role could potentially suit a final year CIMA student or newly qualified Management Accountant.
Due to increased workload the department is looking for additional support for timesheet management and payroll activities during system transfer. Additional support with budgetary controlling activities across the team and in particular with respect to Capex controlling for major projects. To assist with monthly management accounts and reporting including treatment for IFRS15 and recognised revenue.
· Capex controlling
· Budgetary controlling
· Timesheet management and payroll support
· Monthly preparation and reporting of management accounts
· Stock management
· Monthly journal preparation
· An understanding of and experience with the above
· Excel experience to intermediate level
· SAP knowledge would be an advantage
Education & Training
· Newly qualified or final year Management Accountant
The successful candidate will be required to apply for and receive a DBS certificate prior to commencement of the contract.
