My Pharmaceuticals client based in Granta Park, Cambridge are looking for an enthusiastic and career-driven Assistant Accountant to join their growing finance team in on a temporary 6 months basis, in a role that can offer excellent professional development opportunities longer term if someone impresses and earns a permanent position.
My client are in the state of the art Granta park area of South Cambridge renowned for Pharmaceuticals innovation and they are growing their business organically leading to increased workload in the finance department. With parking on site they have a great reputation for developing careers across the business and this role has the potential for someone to develop into a permanent position and therefore earn study support and more advanced accounting exposure and experience
This 6 month Assistant Accountant contract role will include the following duties and responsibilities;
- Assisting the management and financial accountants with period end preparation work
- Recording miscellaneous cash book transactions
- Ensuring the ledger matches the bank statements.
- General weekly banking duties
- Assist with queries resolution and miscellaneous payments
- Manage relationship with banks on payment issues
- Assist in cash flow accuracy
To be the successful Assistant Accountant in this contract role you will need to have 12-18 months of accounts and finance base experience, preferably accompanied by a basic Accountancy course either in education or through AAT. Recent Graduates with some administration, accountancy or finance work experience will also be strongly considered.
