An exciting opportunity has arisen with a small-medium sized company in Melbourn, who currently require an experienced Assistant Accountant to join them in a varied position.
Reporting to the Financial Controller this position will see the post holder taking responsibility for a wide range of duties including:
-Sales Ledger - reconciliation of key accounts and investigating any discrepancies
-Credit Control - agreeing new credit accounts, emailing monthly statements, analysis of accounts for the trade team, following up on aged debts
-Payroll - posting weekly reports, uploading pension data, completion of P11Ds
-VAT - prepare and check data for quarterly VAT return, prepare monthly EC Sales lists
-Management Accounts - update fixed asset register, closing stock reports, reconcile payroll, PAYE and pension, check through nominal ledgers
-Ad Hoc - Various analysis, assist with cashflow reporting
This client would like to receive applications from candidates with solid previous accounts experience and ideally the AAT qualification, however this is not essential.
Candidates must be proactive with a flexible approach, and be capable of working within a small team and to tight deadlines.
Candidates must also have a good level of IT literacy as well as a pleasant and professional manner.
