I have a brand new vacancy for an Assistant Accountant that will be perfect for those with already a base knowledge of double entry bookkeeping and pre-payment and accruals. This role will provide you with a plan to progress in the future.
Our client is a leading name across the UK, with a variety of hubs, including this one based in Burton. The organisation is keen to identify talent and furthermore assess how individuals will be able to organically grow within the team and wider business. You will be situated in an open plan office that has plenty of energy throughout, so be prepared to become part of that atmosphere!
You main duties and responsibilities within this role shall include:
- Assisting with the overall management of accounts for the hub;
- Reporting to the Management Accountant and on occasion assisting with some of their duties;
- Ledger reconciliations on a weekly basis;
- Raising of Purchase Orders;
- Prepayment and accruals;
- Risk and opportunity analysis;
- Adhoc accounts duties to assist with progression.
If you have bundles of drive and eagerness to get stuck into a role, then you will certainly suit this position. Strong excel skills are required for this role, as is experience in an accounts assistant-type role. With the energy in the office, it will be ideal if you have a good sense of humour and enjoy socialising with your colleagues.
Our client is offering a salary between £21,000 and £25,000 dependent on experience and relevant industry background. You will also be enhanced with study support to assist your progression, an 8% pension, and a great voucher scheme package.
