Assistant Accountant

Sheridan Maine is working exclusively with a young and dynamic business in the Christchurch area. They are seeing an Assistant Accountant to join the business immediately for a period of 8 months to cover maternity leave.

Key duties include:
  • Assisting with the production of Management Accounts
  • Daily multi currency bank rec's - to include Sagepay/Paypal account
  • Purchase ledger management
  • Weekly supplier run and statement reconciliation
  • Weekly debtor review / credit control when required
  • Petty cash management / banking
  • Employee Expenses
  • Reconciliation of company credit card/debit cards
  • Posting of loan/mortgage interest rates
  • Involved in month end process
  • Ad hoc admin / IT tasks when required
  • Helping with the transition of accounting systems
Qualifications and experience:
  • Use of accounting systems
  • Comfortable with stock transactions
  • Experience with using excel and comfortable with large and complex spreadsheets
  • Minimum 4 years accounting experience
  • Part qualified
9am to 5pm, 1 hour lunch
