In this position you will be responsible for maximising the performance of the Treasury and Capital team by supporting both the Finance Team's and the Group's overall objectives. The Assistant Accountant - Treasury and Capital will provide expert advice and support to the Operational Directors and Managers regarding current and future Capital & Treasury matters.
In addition, you must ensure that all of the Group's capital expenditure and income is accounted for and reported correctly; develop and maintain forward focused cash flow forecasts for all Group entities; optimising the use of borrowing and available cash across the Group to minimise the Group's interest payment obligations.
The successful applicant will have a recognised accountancy qualification e.g. AAT or similar. Previous experience of working within an accounts environment is essential, specifically experience with cash book and ledger posting. Experience of nominal ledger reconciliations would be beneficial.
You must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate ideas, issues and concepts successfully at all levels to a variety of audiences. You should be able to prioritise your workload effectively and demonstrate good interpersonal and team working skills coupled with a proven ability to form strong partnerships.
This is a fixed term contract role - 18 months.
