Assistant Accountant - Highly Progressive Role with Study Support
This Assistant Accountant role present an excellent opportunity for a graduate who has a minimum of 2 years experience working within financial/accounting role to join a highly progressive organisation who will provide an opportunity to develop a diverse range of finance experience, supported by excellent in house training and external studies for ACCA or CIMA.
Our client is a rapidly expanding professional services organisation based in Sheffield, due to continued growth, the business is looking to appoint an ambitious and enthusiastic Assistant Accountant.
The role will work alongside an existing team of accountants, supporting a wide range of companies in all aspects of financial and management accounting services.
Duties and Responsibilities
The position will be highly varied and will include the following :
- Assisting in preparing monthly management accounts
- Assistance with completing the Monthly Management Reporting Pack
- Month end accruals, journals
- Process Payroll
- Credit Control
- Bank reconciliations
- VAT returns
Skills and Qualities
The ideal applicant will be part qualified ACCA or CIMA with a minimum of 2 years practical experience working within finance and will be familiar with the majority of the areas detailed in the responsibilities combined with strong experience in PL.
The business also encourages applications from individuals who have trained within a firm of accountants and looking to make their first move into a commercial finance role.
