You’ll be involved in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts and variance analysis (including commentaries), so advanced Excel skills will be essential. You’ll also be overseeing a small team who control some of the more transactional functions, helping them to pull together the month end processes. Previous experience of staff supervision, which could include remote team management, is required.
In addition to the above, you’ll also be acting as a central point of contact for project teams with regard to project finance queries and assisting with audits relating to projects - liaising with external auditors, project managers, etc. And you’ll be maintaining fixed asset and inventory records.
The successful candidate could be a qualified Accounting Technician, a Part-Qualified Accountant or someone ‘qualified by experience’. Previous experience of budgeting and forecasting is required, together with strong Excel skills and staff management experience.
