Asset and Configuration Analyst
A leading IT Infrastructure consultancy seeks an experienced Asset and Configuration Analyst for a 3 month rolling contract based in Hatfield to start ASAP.
The ideal candidate will have worked in an Asset and Configuration role previously, ideally for a minimum of 3 years gaining a good experience and technical knowledge of the area
Responsible for accuracy of data within the CMDB and data repositories
Maintain Cis to the required level of detail using discovery sources and other external input
Perform audit tasks Complete work tasks both BAU and Non BAU as directed by Team Leader
Identify and then resolve data queries and exceptions.
Respond to data escalations from (Data) Analyst Resolution of escalated issues raised by Asset & Configuration Manager
Maintain Runbooks and Work instructions for each account
Produces the SMR for each account and delivers output to Asset & Configuration Manager
Controls and runs the unauthorised change process
Involvement in Service Tooling testing when required
Excellent knowledge of Data analysis within an IT environment ideally managing both End User and Infrastructure estates
Full understanding of Asset & Configuration processes
Experience in Asset & Configuration CMDB's preferably BMC Atrium with supporting knowledge of integration with discovery tooling, such as Eracent, AD or SCCM Expertise in Data integration and error handling.
Previous experience in the maintenance and creation of Service Models Creation and maintenance of key service metrics
Runbook tasks are completed to timescales, tasks are completed in line with timing and PGL codes
Adherence to the use of PGL/CATS/MARS time, showing the appropriate level of utilisation
Production of SMR and accompanying metrics and reports to agreed timescales
Accounts meet key SLA measures
Strives to improve Customer service metrics or identifies opportunities to do so and escalates to Asset & Configuration Manager
Full service position is known on Configuration Customers
Contractual Service Impact Models are in place
Understand and adheres to standard service PRS
Awareness of account CATS charging to ensure account tasks are delivered to the received revenue. Any ongoing issues are identified and escalated appropriately
Keep skills up to date with IT industry standards as appropriate to the role/Contract
Develops a SME knowledge and can represent the service within GIO and supporting other business areas, such as GIS and TPT
Excellent Microsoft office skills, primarily Excel, Visio, Sharepoint and Powerpoint
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify issues with data, quality and possible tooling issues
Proven work/task allocation skills
Good experience in IT Service environment.
Strong communication skills
Knowledge of IT and infrastructure environments in line with role
Proven ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines with minimum supervision
Good Team Player
