Busy Telford company requires : Assembly Quality Technicians for their Quality Control department


Working with the Quality Co-Ordinator you will gain an understanding of customer specifications and expectations. Become familiar with the customer and quality expectations for each part and maintain quality standards through all stages of the process. You will also closely monitor all production yields, report and contribute any corrective actions to improve on current quality related issues.


•Carry out accurate visual assessments on products including using the Customer provided master plaques and signed off samples
•Checks include (but not limited to) Geometry of part / Hand of part / Colour of part / Conformance to packaging label
•Carry out in process metrology checks as per product specific control plan
•Metrology checks involve use of Gauges with Dial Test Indicators and use of CMM
•MSA (Measurement Systems Analysis) Assistance
•Conduct weekly process audits on incoming and outgoing products to ensure quality standards are being met.
•Issue, monitor and maintain all quality alerts closing out all concerns raised, by liaising and working with the Quality and Production teams.
•Any defective parts returned or reported by the customer must be traced back to the operator and process area responsible for the failure and then corrective actions must be issued to the paint process team for analysis and closure.


Education : CQI Visual Inspection/ Part Recognition/ CCM
Experience : 3-5 Years, Good level of PC skills & Paint Inspection
Special Skills: Automotive quality experience, CCM and MSA


•Goods inward and post paint inspections
•Update and maintain all controlled paint batch approvals
•Record all instances of failure on appropriate reporting format
•Carry out in process metrology checks as per product specific control plan
•Assist in quality alerts and brief relevant staff on issues
•Report all quality related issues directly to the Quality Coordinator with immediate effect to ensure repeatable defects are avoided
•Take on continuous improvement projects to drive the company forwards
•Keep the work area clean and tidy at all times. Adhering to the standards of the 5s housekeeping audit, therefore minimising risk to products and employees
•Ensure that you understand and comply with Health, Safety and environmental regulations at all times
•Report all accidents, potential near miss/risk situations and defective equipment using the agreed procedure and wear issued PPE without fail


•Drive and support the requirements to hold up accreditation for (IATF16949 / ISO 14001)
•Maintain professional and effective relationships with other functions
•Present a professional imagine when communicating internally and externally
•Maintain excellent verbal and written communication

Located in Telford this position is commutable from Shrewsbury, Wolverhampton, Cannock, Willenhall, Walsall
