Schools for vulnerable students are very much still open and operational and we are actively recruiting for opportunities in Learning Support for immediate start.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join their supportive and motivated team.

The school is based in Guildford and provides support for children aged 5-19 years who have a range of learning and behavioural needs due to social, emotional and mental health challenges. The key is to deliver personal and life skills, through a restorative method.

Working in a class based environment to support some of the most vulnerable children in Surrey, who have been through significant traumas. Giving pupils skills to allow them to gain independence and aiming to ensure they do not enter the criminal justice system.

It is important to understand, where the children are coming from and what traumas they have been through. The importance of clear objectives being set for them, making them feel valued within themselves and within their school environment.

  • 5 days a week, working 1:1 and in small groups within the classroom
  • Teamwork is hugely important to this role working with your fellow class teacher
  • Graduates and non-Graduates are welcome
  • Caring and compassionate character essential
