Aspiring Art Therapist Basingstoke - Education and Training - Aspiring Art Therapist Basingstoke - March 8th start - LSA role in a specialist provision

This role will not guarantee a place on an MSc but will help you qualify and disqualify elements of the industry for you. All being well, Lockdown 3.0 should end during February half term, interviews and trial days will commence from March 8th. You will get to trial and interview within the school, you have to ensure this is the right path for you.

This role is aimed at a candidate with empathy and who will want to initiate restorative practices, this school has not had a permanent exclusion for over 12 months. This Learning Support Assistant role is based within a specialist Alternative Provision within a Complex Social Needs environment. Many of the students will have been through severe traumas and there will be a mix of good and non-existent relationships with their parents.

Restorative Practice, pragmatism and positive reinforcement will be key skills in this LSA role in Dorking. The role specialises in working with students who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues and Wellness concerns. The students you are raising attainment with are between the ages of 9-16, all have EHCPs and will need to continue their education once they leave the school.

The LSA role will give you experience in safeguarding and assessment of what rehabilitation students require to be empowered back into mainstream education. It is important to understand, where the boys come from, what the boys have been through and the importance of clear objectives being set for them, making them feel valued within education in the process.

***Working with likeminded graduates in Maidenhead, aspiring Criminal, Youth and Social Justice Officers, combined with aspiring Psychologists
