ASD Support Assistant - Swindon

A specialist school in Swindon are looking to welcome a ASD Support Assistant on board to join their staff in providing tailored education to students with additional needs. The school have an impressive line-up of professional therapists, psychologists and SEN specialists working at the school that work alongside classroom assistants to ensure the students receive individual learning support that they do not receive in mainstream education.

As a ASD Support Assistant, you will be working on a 1-1 basis helping students tackle challenges they face during the school day. The pupils at this school face barriers and struggles regarding developmental trauma and different social, emotional and mental health needs. The ASD Support Assistant will be responsible for identifying triggers and facilitating different therapeutic techniques with the goal of promoting the students' mental well-being. This role is highly rewarding due to the insight it gives to SEN education and the reassuring community within the school.

  • £80 - £95 daily
  • Graduates welcome
  • Specialist SEN School

Experience working with young children or degree level education (Psychology, Criminology, Sociology or relevant subjects) would be desirable but not required.
