Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for several experienced and passionate teaching assistants to join a specialist ASC school in Trafford to start after Easter. This is a full time temporary role initially with potential for it to become longer term for the right candidate.
The schools is part of a multi academy trust catering for children aged 4 -11 with a wide range of needs from moderate to complex. In a recent OFSTED inspection was graded as 'good' in all aspects across the board. The school believes enriched multi-sensory learning and ensures that children develop their social interactions and relationship-building skills. The school uses sanctuary bases for withdrawal time and learning bays for bespoke intervention work. Outdoor activities, special visitors and educational visits are highly promoted throughout the school.
The ideal candidate:
*Teaching Assistant who can understand individual needs in order to differentiate and modify mainstream practices to set progressing, challenging targets
*Energetic team players with a relentless positive approach and excellent communication skills.
*Candidates with high expectations and aspirations for all children;
*Bundles of imagination and innovating ideas to motivate, challenge and inspire all pupils to be the best that they can be.
*Teaching assistants willing to immerse themselves in all aspects of school life and able to contribute ideas to further enrich the vision of the school.
*Flexible and well organised professionals who understand the importance of genuine collaboration between teachers, children and parents;
*An interest in and/or an ability to contribute to music development within the school would be an advantage.
The role will involve working with a class teacher to support learning and raising attainment. You will be working on a 1:1 basis with pupils' autism.
