You will provide complex and highly specialist services and advice to Senior Managers and staff across NHSGG&C around asbestos issues. Supporting the General Manager (Estates) on managing the Board's compliance with the requirements of all statutory legislation relating to asbestos and you will be expected to have in-depth knowledge of this legislation and been involved in their implementation by providing evidence of same. You will represent the Board, where required, in formal meetings with the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) Scottish Healthcare Supplies, Health Facilities Scotland and any other external agency or stakeholder as directed. This is a highly specialist post where a high level of expertise is required to effectively deliver the service within a multi-disciplinary estate function. You must hold a relevant Degree in an Engineering, Scientific, Health and Safety, or Building/Project management related discipline (or be in the process of working towards this qualification) along with appropriate management experience within a facilities management (FM) structure and significant operational experience gained within a complex building services environment.The hours of this post are worked Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm.
