ASB Officer needed in Milton Keynes
Our client based in Milton Keynes are looking to recruit an Anti-Social Behaviour Officer to join the team to address anti-social behaviour problems in the and coordinate action to ensure that the council response is informed, appropriate and draws on effective practice.
This is a temporary role.
As part of your responsibilities you will be involved in addressing the anti-social behaviour problems and working in partnership with relevant organisations to enhance the safety and well being of the public. You will provide professional, expert and up to date technical advice to residents, businesses, members and key stakeholders. In line with authorisation you will carry out investigations, instigate and prepare prosecutions, attend court proceedings and deliver evidence in the event of statutory action taken for breaches.
As the successful candidate you will have expert knowledge of the legislative framework of Anti-Social Behaviour, such as the ASB Act 2003, Police and Criminal Justice Act and the Police Reform Act 2006. You will need to demonstrate experience in the investigation and preparation and presentation of cases for enforcement or prevention activities. You will also need the following:
- Proven experience working in anti-social behaviour reduction or an associated area
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- A working knowledge of relevant Health, Safety and Welfare legislation and approved Codes of Practices
