Job Title: Art Technician
Location: Ealing

Salary Scale: £70 - £90 per day

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Long Term

GSL Education is currently looking to appoint an experienced and outstanding Art Technician at one of our secondary schools graded "Outstanding" by OFSTED. Starting from January 2019, it will be a temporary position until July 2019.

The role is at a Secondary and 16 to 18 mixed school, located in Ealing.

The person filling the post will be expected to undertake a wide range of duties including:

-Preparation of teaching materials

- Ordering of Art Materials, helping with their delivery, auditing such material.

- To monitor, order and distribute consumable stock throughout the department.

- To provide some technical support to students using specialist or potentially hazardous processes on a one-to-one basis.

- Ensuring that the Art rooms are neat and tidy and free from rubbish and student files, artwork and drawing props etc are all stored in appropriate locations.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. This post is subject to a DBS enhanced disclosure check.

The successful candidate must have:

-Recent experience of working as a Art Technician

-Experience of stock control

-Knowledge of safeguarding children requirements

-Ability to maintain accurate work records and maintain inventories

-Knowledge of safeguarding children requirements

-An updated CV and an enhanced DBS.
