Your new school
This school is a mixed, 11 - 18, mainstream secondary school located in Brecon. The school has five hundred pupils and is situated in an affluent, rural location. The school has been established for over sixty years and is based in a Mansion House accompanied by impressive grounds. Five percent of pupils are entitled to full school meals (significantly below the national seventeen percent average) and last year the school achieved their highest ever exam results with 89% of pupils achieving 5 GCSE between A* - C. They are currently recruiting for an Art teacher to become a permanent member of staff within the school on a full time basis. The school needs very little in terms of behaviour management and is very well lead by Senior Leadership with most staff being there for over 15 years.
Your new role
Starting in late September 2018 you will work as part of the Art department made up of a group of specialist teachers. You will be responsible for full teaching responsibilities (including planning and preparation) for a full time Art Time table. This is a permanent role meaning being employed directly by the school after 12 weeks of working through Hays. What you'll need to succeed You will be a qualified teacher registered with the Education Workforce Council. You will have previous experience of teaching Art in a secondary school. You will have a passion for learning and have a strong track record of helping pupils to achieve results. You will also possess strong behaviour and classroom management skills. You share a commitment to safeguarding and hold a DBS check.

You will be offered a daily pay rate of £120 - £1 per day for the first 12 weeks and then your Salary will be negotiated with the school.
