The Role: Based in the North of England, the new Area Sales Manager will be looking after existing accounts in the independent builders merchant sector and decorating wholesalers, as well as looking to develop some new accounts. Your role involves calling on buyers, branch managers and trade counter staff, getting involved with merchandising and attending trade days and exhibitions. The Company: This major manufacturer is leading the way on a global basis and now seeks a new Area Sales Manager to join their sales team. They sell a huge range of decorating tools and have bespoke manufacturing capabilities to cover every customer's needs.

Your Career: Recently acquired by a £billion global organisation, they are in a position to offer excellent career prospects with the next step up being into a Regional Account Manager role.

For this Area Sales Manager role, we are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:
  • Strong sales skills
  • You will ideally have sold into the DIY trade
  • Sales of DIY or building materials is preferred
  • Motivated and sales trained individuals with excellent relationship building skills
