Global leading manufacturing business with focus on retail ecommerce and logistics sectors are expanding the sales team with an Area Sales Manager to support a growing sales strategy.
Responsible for the profitable management and development of sales in the defined region, in line with the company’s strategy and targets. The territory delivers approx. £1.5m pa with expected minimum 10% growth pa.
Location: Home based, but with good access to South West, M4 into West London.
Occasional European travel will be required.
Profitably grow sales, primarily through an established distributor portfolio in the region
Develop a strategy and business plan to achieve the company’s goals
Create solutions which satisfy end user needs
Understand and maximise the potential in the e commerce market
Have the ability to demonstrate the value of the offer to third party logistics companies
Confidently deliver product and sales training to customers and distributors, including straightforward equipment demonstrations
Feed market requirements back to UK and European management
Maintain a working knowledge of new developments, techniques and products in the industry
Safeguard the company’s reputation with a professional approach
Report an accurate record of activities by regularly updating the company’s CRM tools and completing a monthly business review
A self-motivated and flexible team player
Possess a strong business intellect
Be effective at building relationships
Have the ability to work effectively and multi task
Have a minimum of five years business to business sales experience
Have experience of selling through a distributor network
