Job Description Title: Area Sales Manager
Training: 4 week intensive course scheduled over the first 9 months
Order Values: Hundreds to thousands Role: This is field based sales role working Looking after 100 - 200 trading accounts, Calling on 8 companies per day using a 1 to 12 week call cycle.
There is lots of potential to up sell within the existing client base and grow new accounts. The Company splits there customers into 2 main categories Independent and National. You will be responsible for both the retail and food service sectors
Each external sales person will be working alongside an internal telesales person who will do the day to day order taking. As well as alongside the national account managers to deliver tactical activity in national accounts on your territory.
You'll be dealing with the decision maker of the business this can be anybody from the head chef, manager, buyer and owner.
You will have complete autonomy over your area as to the markets to target. You will also have the power to negotiate within the margins that you have. The key to selling the products to their customers is the concept and solution they can offer
Market: Selling to a diverse range of end users including restaurants, hotels, pubs, clubs, leisure centres, nursing homes, contract caterers, golf clubs and camp sites - anywhere with a professional kitchen as well as independent retailers and National accounts at unit level Split between New & Established: 70% new business and 30% account management moving forwards 50/50 splits thereafter.
Background: Good strong field sales experience and PASSIONATE ABOUT THE FOOD INDUSTRY

Package Basic: 28 K (negotiable depending on experience)
OTE: - realistic £10K
Car: range of vehicles Holiday: 23 days plus statutory
