As an ASM at Abird you will be challenged to win new, profitable business for HSS whilst supporting the development of our existing customer accounts and branch network. You will sell the proposition across our group of companies to deliver a great service offering to our customers as well as assist in the collection of any debt relating to the accounts.
An ASM is based in a geographical patch and spends their time mixed between selling on sites and in offices and is target driven to support the branches around them in achieving sales goals, so they truly work as part of a team whilst having an opportunity to demonstrate individual flair.

Our colleagues, have a can do attitude, they tell it like it is and they care. Everything we do is around building new and deepening existing relationships, making the most of our vast, one of a kind, network of branches and distribution centres and developing our brands.

Abird are a specialist acquisition to HSS Hire, who are a nationwide leading tools and equipment hiring company. Abird provide and maintain a broad range of powered generation equipment including smart generators and lighting towers, and have built a strong commercial relationship to supply to the construction industry, events, and public sector contracts across the UK. The business also provides training courses nationwide.
A successful ASM will be great at developing relationships internally and externally. Our customers are very important to us, equally are our staff so the ability to build relationships at multiple levels is essential. Successful ASMs are great at listening and implementing the HSS Sales Process to ensure they can find the best solution for their customer. They are great at building rapport and use a mature, consultative approach to sales-selling on service and value. Successful ASM's are very visible across our network and regularly call in to branches to help develop the sales skills of our branch colleagues and share information.
They are competitive and want to win and earn in excess of £50k per year.
To be successful in gaining a role here you will need to demonstrate that you have a proven track record of sales success within your current field. You will need work experience in a B2B selling role. You will need to demonstrate a consultative approach and be actively seeking self-development as a sales professional.
Oh, and… you will need a driving licence.
